memory archive – day 13.2

Living in Tokyo as a mother of young children means that you are missing out on the nightlife that this city is famous for. Mostly, not completely though.

The picture shows the front and back of a drink ticket – a memory of a night out that started at an izakaya (Japanase style pub), went on to a hidden bar in Harajuku and a club in the middle of Shibuya and ended at 4am at a sushi place back in my neighbourhood. Who would have thought that sushi in the early hours would taste that delicious?!

This is a tiny card so getting rid of it won’t help me create a more simple and tidy home. Not for now at least. In the long-term though, saying good-bye to the drink ticket might be a start to finally tackle some of those boxes and piles full of little things.
